Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU member countries (COREPER) have given green lights to the revised visa waivers suspension mechanism and visa liberalisation for Georgia, reports journalist Rikard Jozwiak focusing on the procedure of visa liberalization for Ukraine and Georgia.

According to him, both decisions should be approved by the Council of the EU on the 27th of February that is the last stage of decision-making to be followed by formal actions (signing, publication in the Official EU journal).
It means trilogue on Ukrainian visa liberalisation that was tied to final approvement of suspension mechanism could start immediately after 27th of February.
Earlier Jozwiak reported that visa waiver for Ukraine would enter into force on June, 12.
