European Parliament has voted in favour of visa waiver for Ukraine

European Parliament has voted for adding Ukraine to the list of countries whose nationals should not get visas for short-term travels and stay in Europe with 521 votes pro and 75 votes contra.

After vorting in European Parliament law amendments should be considered by the Council of the EU.

According to forecasts of Brussels journalist Rikard Jozwiak, COREPER may adopt the regulation on April 26, with signing on approximately May 15 and coming into force on June 11-12.

As it was reported previously, visa waiver for Georgia has entered into force on March 28.
