The two-year project is aimed at supporting institutional development of think tanks, including the Europe Without Barriers NGO.
As part of the project organization is carrying various activities in order to achieve the following objectives:
- Strengthening the institutional capacity by improving management of the organization
- Introduction of a better system of operational management
- Improvement of the analytical capacity of the organization and enhancement of policy products
- Planned increase of the potential in expert and advocacy activitiesof the organizationin two years.
Analytical work will be formed as a separate line of activity, which will be provided with the sufficient human and material resources, while being separated from the organizational work.
We plan to enhance the quality of the independent expertize. Organization will involve external experts in its projects from international work groups, which were established to foster further professionalization of analytical activities. The work groups will include experts from the EWB Association, which united NGOs and think tanks from 8 cities of Ukraine. International component will be represented by experts from the International coalition “For Visa-Free Europe”, which encompasses more than 40 organizations who joined forces in the direction of “friendly borders” policy. The work will also involve trainees, including foreigners, as well as including distance training.
However, the main potential of expertize will be produced by the organization itself, which will strengthen management operations, allowing it to concentrate efforts on improving human resources policy. The amount of staff members within the organization is extended by adding an analyst as well as project, communication and financial managers. All employees of the organization will be able to improve their skills through a specially developed curriculum.
